There are joys which long to be ours. God sends ten thousands truths, which come about us like birds seeking inlet; but we are shut up to them, and so they bring us nothing, but sit and sing awhile upon the roof, and then fly away.
Henry Ward Beecher

This photo was more of a quick snap than photography of any kind.  My camera was on my lap as I read in the garden this morning and this little bird happened in. I actually missed when I shot the first time and caught only the tops of the allium plants.  I lowered the camera, shot the bird and then joined the two photos in Elements.

I can’t really decide if I garden for the garden or I garden for the birds.  The bird calls woke me from my dreams today… the best sort of alarm clock there is.
