It’s rainy, rainy, rainy out this morning… no chance yet of a daily photo. Yesterday was another beautiful day. The butterflies had moved on over to the peonies, a change of diet from the alliums the day before. The lower petals on this flower are finally starting to drop down. I could get impatient, wanting to see the whole globe effect but I’m so happy to enjoy these in my garden for a few more days.  A new comment yesterday led me to a new blog and another new blog  which shares beautiful texture overlays to play around with so I had a little creative fun here on my rainy Saturday morning with my Day 16 allium photo.

There is nothing more difficult for a truly creative painter than to paint a rose, because before he can do so he has first to forget all the roses that were ever painted.
– Henri Matisse

The same could be said of photographing an allium for each day of its existence.   Thanks for following along.
